The Amadé Adventure Thermal Spa is located in Altenmarkt Im Pongau and has a sports pool with a water climbing wall. The Stoneman Taurista is designed differently: it is laid out in three stages and leads from Altenmarkt via Sattelbauer and Penkkopf. The Zauchbachweg is a certified winter hiking trail. In Altenmarkt-Zauchensee, 49 kilometres of cleared winter hiking trails lead through snow-covered forests and to views of the valley and alpine pastures. Local History and the Perchtenlauf

The Altenmarkt Bruderhaus was first mentioned in a document in 1408 and became a museum in 1970. The two years mark different milestones: 1408 is the first documented mention, while 1970 marks its later conversion into a museum. The Altenmarkt Madonna has been in Altenmarkt since 1393; this date refers to her presence in the town. This distinguishes the historical references to the Bruderhaus from the history of the Madonna.
