Elizabeth Beach is located in Pacific Palms in Booti Booti National Park. The beach is 600 metres long and faces northeast. Other features to help you get your bearings include a walking track that leads back to the beach, another track at the northern end and the picnic area. This makes it easy to include beach time, walking and a visit to the picnic area in your travel plans. If you’re looking for a hotel for your trip, you could start by considering which of these activities will shape your stay.

Beach and walking tracks

The Booti walking track leads back to Elizabeth Beach, where you can finish your walk with a swim. There is also a walking track at the northern end of the beach, accessible via Lethbridge Street. These details offer different points of reference: for the Booti walking track, the return to the beach is the key point; the other track is identified by its location at the northern end and access via Lethbridge Street. When planning your day, you can therefore decide whether to pair a walk with a possible swim afterwards or use the track at the northern end.

The beach’s dimensions also help you get your bearings: Elizabeth Beach stretches for 600 metres and faces northeast. The Pacific Palms Surf Life Saving Club is located behind the middle of the beach. It was founded at Elizabeth Beach in 1986, when the area was part of Booti Booti State Recreation Area. Today, Elizabeth Beach is in Booti Booti National Park in Pacific Palms.

The Nippers program

The Pacific Palms Surf Life Saving Club’s Nippers program takes place at Elizabeth Beach. It runs on Sundays from October to March, usually between 9 and 11 am. The program teaches beach awareness, water skills and beach skills. This makes it a distinct seasonal activity alongside walking and beach time. If you’d like to include it in your travel plans, check with the club for current registration and session details; the usual times indicate the typical schedule.

Picnic area and practical planning

Elizabeth Beach’s picnic area has a gravel car park. Visitors must bring their own drinking and cooking water, so plan your water needs in advance. There are no paths leading to the facilities at the picnic area; they can be reached across a level grassy area. This is useful to know when arriving and planning your route to the facilities. Before you travel, check the current car park details and work out how much water you’ll need for your stay.

Find hotels for your stay

If you’re travelling between October and March, the Nippers program may also be relevant to your plans. When comparing specific hotel offers, check the location and amenities listed for each one. This helps you make a choice based on your travel plans without assuming that a hotel shares the area’s characteristics.
