Film screenings, a swap market and other events related to flowers, art, cooking and food take place at Coorabell Hall in Coorabell. For planning your trip, the different events and how often they are held are important: some activities return regularly, while others have changing or annual dates.

Location and route connections

The hall is on Coolamon Scenic Drive in Coorabell, on a ridge with views across Byron Bay. The route to Whian Whian State Conservation Area also follows Coolamon Scenic Drive through Coorabell. This brings together two different connections: the view describes the hall’s location, while the route links Coorabell with the way to the conservation area.

Film club: membership and dates

The Coorabell Hall Film Club usually meets on the first Wednesday of every month. Membership is required to attend a film, and you can join at the door. Joining in person does not change the fact that membership is a requirement for seeing a film. Membership conditions may change. Also confirm the specific date before planning your trip around it.

Swap market and Flower Show

The produce swap market is held every two weeks on alternating Sundays. The two-week cycle describes how often it returns, but not a fixed Sunday of the month; individual market dates may change. Unlike the film club’s usual first Wednesday, the market is held on alternating Sundays.

The annual Coorabell Hall Flower Show includes dahlia, flower-growing and floral design displays. It is an annual event alongside the monthly film club and fortnightly swap market. The specific dates for the show may also change; if the exhibition is the reason for your trip, take the event date into account.

Food, classes and other events

Every Monday from 4 to 8 pm, fresh homemade pizza from Stefano’s Italian Grocery Pizza is available at Coorabell Hall. The weekly schedule may change. Food is available to buy from 4:30 pm during film screenings; availability may also vary. Monday pizza and food sales at film screenings are two separate offerings with their own times.

Coorabell Hall is also a venue for art and cooking classes and hosts pop-up dining events. Individual class dates may vary; pop-up events also have changing dates. These offer additional reasons to visit alongside the film club, market and Flower Show, each of which can be considered separately when planning your trip.

Comparing the dates

There are three different schedules to consider when choosing dates: the film club usually meets on the first Wednesday of every month, the swap market is held every two weeks on alternating Sundays, and the Flower Show is annual. Choose your travel dates according to the event that determines your trip, and bear in mind that specific dates may change.
