Accommodation in Phitsanulok
Phitsanulok brings together river activities, changing landscapes and historic sites. When planning your hotel stay, you can first consider whether nature experiences, stargazing or culture will be the focus of your trip.
Grasslands, Waterfalls and Nature-Watching
In Thung Salaeng Luang National Park, the grassland changes color with the seasons. The park is suitable for trekking. The park is also home to Kaeng Sopha Waterfall, which has three tiers and is 40 meters high.
Freshwater jellyfish and rare butterflies are found in the Kaeng Wang Nam Yen area. At the Nakorn Chum viewpoint, you can see expansive mist; whether visibility is good enough depends on the weather. Check the weather conditions before planning your visit.
Rafting, Swimming and Stargazing
The rafting route on the Khek River is about 8 kilometers long and passes through a total of 15 rapids. It begins at the upper end of Song Waterfall; from the parking lot, the route is accessible via a short walk. Seasonal water conditions and local access conditions may change. Check them before planning your visit.
Swimming is listed as an activity at Chat Trakan Waterfall. Rafting is listed as a nature activity at Huai Sam Ruak Reservoir. For both locations, check the relevant water, access and safety conditions in advance.
Phu Hin Rong Kla National Park offers astronomy learning programs and activities for photographing constellations and the Milky Way. If the night sky is an important reason for your trip, check the latest program details before visiting, as they may change.
Caves, Temples and Historic Sites
Tham Phra Wang Daeng Cave is about 13.5 kilometers long and has an underground river. Among the religious attractions, Phra Buddha Chinnarat is located at Wat Phra Si Mahathat Woramahaviharn. The Buranathai Buddha Making Factory was established in 1968. Together, these places show different facets of the region’s cultural heritage, from temples and religious objects to everyday items and handicrafts.
