The Bereznyaki Sanatorium is known as a rural health retreat, set in a forest park landscape away from noise and industry. Treatments and landscaped outdoor areas define its character. If you are looking for hotels in Bereznyaki, it may help to consider this focus as a possible reason for your trip.

Treatments and Rehabilitation

Treatments include physiotherapy, mud therapy, water treatments, massages, and spa programs. Rehabilitation services are also available for conditions affecting the nervous system, cardiovascular system, and respiratory tract, as well as other complaints. The range of services therefore combines individual treatments with rehabilitation in various areas of health. If you are planning a particular treatment, confirm directly with the sanatorium that it is available before booking.

Sanatorium Facilities

Facilities include a swimming pool, sports grounds, a fitness room, and water aerobics. Other amenities include parking, transfers, a children's playroom, Wi-Fi, and meals. Since facilities and services may change, check directly before your trip which of the things that matter to you are currently available.

Forest Park Landscape in Every Season

The grounds are home to coniferous and deciduous trees and shrubs, as well as a birch grove, a pond, and seasonal flower beds. The landscaped natural setting offers a place to visit in both winter and summer. The flower beds and other greenery change with the seasons, so the outdoor areas look different throughout the year.

Distances for Orientation

For general travel planning, the sanatorium is considered to be around 50 kilometers from Karaganda and around 170 kilometers from Astana. Both figures are approximate and are not calculated route distances. The stated distance to Astana is therefore considerably greater than the distance to Karaganda; the figures offer a general indication but do not replace route planning.

Choosing Between a Sanatorium and a Hotel

Choosing accommodation and using the sanatorium's services are separate steps in planning your trip. If treatment is important to you, confirm its availability directly with the sanatorium; when choosing a hotel, refer to the specific information for each property.

More Places to Visit in the Wider Qaraghandy Destination

The wider Qaraghandy destination is home to other natural and cultural attractions. Basin Lake in Karkaraly National Park can only be reached on foot via the “Stone Fairy Tales” route. Check the route's duration and seasonal conditions before your trip. The Three Caves, also known as the “Cave of Primitive Man,” are located in the Maliksay tract of Karkaraly National Park, about three kilometers from Karkaraly. They form a small granite canyon with three entrances to the underground area, a stream, and slopes sparsely covered with pine trees.

Another rock formation in Qaraghandy is the Great Chamber, a large rocky overhang on the ridge north of Karkaraly. Its hollow is 8–10 meters deep, 15–20 meters wide, and up to eight meters high. Kent settlement is also significant to Qaraghandy's cultural history: it is an important Late Bronze Age archaeological site in Karkaraly District, about six kilometers from Kent village in the Kyzylkenysh Valley. Kent is associated with the Begazy-Dandybay culture; remains of residential and utility buildings, production facilities, and traces of ancient metallurgy have been preserved.
