Xinzhuzhen: Coffee and River Landscape

Xinzhuzhen can be understood through two local themes: 橘红 products from 次滩村 and the landscaped riverfront in 三滩村. Coffee and 橘红 processing thus meet a scenic perspective along the Longzhou River—two distinct points to consider when planning your trip. Both villages belong to Xinzhuzhen Township.

橘红 Coffee and Other Products

In 次滩村, 橘红 coffee combines 橘红 with coffee beans and is hand-poured. Its taste is described as less acidic, with a fruity sweetness. The ingredients, preparation, and flavor profile can be considered separately: alongside the combination of 橘红 and coffee, hand-pouring is another specific characteristic of the drink. For travelers who want to learn about local products through their ingredients and production methods, this offers a clear point of reference.

A 2024 report also described the opportunity to adopt a coffee tree at the 橘红咖啡馆 in 次滩村 and receive the beans it produces. This is a different way of relating to coffee than hand-pouring: here, the focus is on a tree and the beans it yields. The café was officially launched on October 1, 2024. A 2025 report described the aim of letting visitors explore rural Ding'an while drinking 橘红 coffee.

The 橘红 theme also includes essential oil from 次滩村. It is cold-pressed; 110 橘红 fruits typically yield 8 to 12 ml. Its listed uses include applying it to the skin, smelling it, and eating it. This quantity gives the extraction a concrete scale. Compared with the coffee, the oil is distinguished by its cold-pressing process and stated yield, while the drink is characterized by its beans and hand-pouring.

River Landscape along the Longzhou River

A different view of the area can be found along the Longzhou River in 三滩村, within the administrative area of the 大株村 Village Committee in Xinzhuzhen. The landscaping reported in 2024 includes a flower bed planted with various species in the shape of “祥云” and a winding boardwalk with a wood-like finish. The planted area and the boardwalk are the specific elements of this riverfront design. Check the condition of the site before your visit.

三滩映月 was identified in a 2024 project description as one of nine landscape nodes in the pilot project to connect water systems and landscape water-rich villages in Ding'an County. 三滩映月 is connected with the riverfront of 三滩村 as a landscape node in the project.

Tourism Overview

The rural tourism site in 次滩村 received a 三椰 rating in February 2023. According to a 2024 report, a nature school was part of the tourism partnership in 次滩村. If you want to include the nature school in your plans, ask in advance about current visiting options.
