Manson on Lake Chelan
Accommodation in Manson
Manson is on the north shore of Lake Chelan. Waterfront parks, the Echo Ridge Trail System, and the Manson Scenic Loop offer different ways to spend your time here.
Lake Chelan and the Waterfront Parks
Manson Bay Park has a designated swimming area and a life jacket loan station. Lifeguards are on duty seasonally; information about their schedule is posted on site. If you plan to use the swimming area, keep this seasonal detail in mind when visiting.
Willow Point Park’s beach offers opportunities for picnicking. Old Mill Park has a different focus: its day-use area offers views of Lake Chelan. There is also a boat pump-out station there. These parks highlight different activities and features—from a beach picnic to lake views and a boat station.
The Old Swim Hole is Manson’s only waterfront dog park where dogs can run off leash. Its waterfront location and off-leash area make it a distinctive option for visitors looking for a dog park. Along with the swimming area at Manson Bay Park, the picnic beach at Willow Point Park, and the day-use area at Old Mill Park, it shows the variety of amenities along Manson’s waterfront.
Echo Ridge: Trails, Seasons, and Views
The Echo Ridge Trail System includes more than 26 miles of trails interwoven with roads. It was originally developed for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. From spring through fall, hiking and mountain biking are popular there. If you are planning between these activities, the season is a helpful guide: the system’s original winter focus differs from the popular activities in the warmer months.
Trail conditions and access can vary seasonally, so check before visiting. The system’s character also includes views of Lake Chelan, the Cascades, the Okanogan Highlands, and the Columbia Plateau. Views of Lake Chelan thus feature in two different settings: from the day-use area at Old Mill Park and among the many views in the Echo Ridge Trail System.
The Manson Scenic Loop
The Manson Scenic Loop follows Highway 150 for seven scenic miles from Chelan up to Manson. Along the route, follow the Wine Trail signs through orchards and vineyards. The route leads to more than 20 wineries and tasting rooms, combining the drive between Chelan and Manson with scenery of orchards and vineyards.
If a particular winery or tasting room is part of your plans, check the business’s information in advance.
