The Georgia Archives is open for research Tuesday through Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Since opening hours may change, it is advisable to check the current schedule before visiting. During regular research hours, visitors can view original records on site. The exhibitions feature historical documents and illustrate topics in Georgia history through primary sources.

Visitor parking is available in the front lot on Jonesboro Road.

A different set of arrangements applies to the research room at the National Archives at Atlanta. It is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., by appointment only. Festivals and event dates

More than 15 festivals are held in Morrow each year. Named events include Lunar New Year, which celebrates traditional Asian heritage and culture. Black History Month is marked each year with an elaborate celebration of African American culture through the ages. It includes a fashion show, an arts and film festival, and performances.

These events highlight different cultures. If a festival is important to your trip, check the specific dates in advance: event details may change. This allows you to plan your stay around a particular event without assuming that every event takes place during every travel period.
