Armstrong has historical, agricultural and rural attractions that are easy to distinguish from one another. You can weigh up which of these themes suits your trip by considering their respective content and timeframes.

City history at the Museo HistĂłrico Municipal

The Museo Histórico Municipal “Enrico Orsetti” in Armstrong displays objects from everyday life dating from the late 19th century to 1960. This span covers several periods in the city’s history while remaining close to everyday life in the area.

The opening of the first traveling exhibition in the 2025 cycle was scheduled for March 28, 2025, at 8 p.m. The exhibition was to feature paintings by local artist Rubén Príncipe, depicting scenes and notable places around the city. As the current exhibition program may change, check it before your visit.

A sporting monument and public space

The Monumento a Delfo Cabrera commemorates his victory in the marathon at the 1948 London Olympic Games. Cabrera won the 42-kilometer race in 2 hours and 34 minutes. The monument was inaugurated in 1998, exactly 50 years after his achievement. Here, a specific sporting achievement—with its date, distance and time—offers a focal point for exploring the town’s history.

Bracito Fuerte Recreation Park is connected to an integrated public complex available to all citizens.

Rural day trips on the outskirts

Estancia Santa Teresita is on the outskirts of Armstrong, in the agriculturally oriented heart of Santa Fe Province. This rural tourism destination offers day visits in the countryside, with the natural environment and rural landscapes at the center of the experience. This is a different focus from a museum or monument: it is about spending a day in a rural setting. Activities may vary depending on the season and what is on offer. Before visiting, confirm which offerings are currently available.

AgroActiva and Armstrong Tierra MĂa

Armstrong hosts a new edition of AgroActiva every year, an event considered a major gathering for the agro-industrial sector. The program includes food offerings, recreational activities and areas that introduce the agro-industrial world to a broad audience. Details may change from one edition to the next. AgroActiva is described as Latin America’s largest outdoor agricultural exhibition and one of the three largest of its kind worldwide. Check the dates for the relevant edition.

Armstrong Tierra MĂa offers another kind of event experience. In the 2025 edition, the city area was used as a large event venue and meeting place; local food was part of the festivities. While AgroActiva focuses on the agro-industrial world, that edition of Armstrong Tierra MĂa combined a gathering place with local food.
