Suryty is located right on Lake Blanki. Two cycling routes pass through or return to Suryty, while the kayaking trail connects the lake with other bodies of water and Lidzbark Warmiński. For a stay, the lakeside location and tour planning are two separate considerations: the accommodation describes a location, while the routes follow their own paths to named destinations. At 32 and around 30 kilometres, the cycling routes are of a similar length, but they do not follow the same route.

Holiday homes on Lake Blanki

Warmia Suryty offers holiday homes on a peninsula right on Lake Blanki. There are three piers and a beach on the property. They are guest facilities provided by the accommodation, not independent public attractions. The lake covers around 440 hectares and is also part of the kayaking trail. The piers and beach belong to the accommodation site; for planning excursions, the independent route paths are what matter.

Cycling: routes and return points

The red-marked municipal route No. 5 is 32 kilometres long. It passes through Lidzbark Warmiński, Łabno, Jarandowo, Kochanówka, Suryty, Blanki, the Ośrodek „Świteź“ and Medyny, before returning to Lidzbark Warmiński. Suryty lies along the route; Lidzbark Warmiński is the return point.

Another cycling loop is around 30 kilometres long. It goes via Kraszewo, Jarandowo and Lidzbark Warmiński; on the way back, it passes through Medyny, Kłębowo, Lake Symsar and Blanki to Suryty. This loop therefore ends in Suryty rather than Lidzbark Warmiński.

At 32 and around 30 kilometres, the routes are of a similar length, but differ in their sequence of places and return point. Red route No. 5 passes, among other places, through Kochanówka and the Ośrodek „Świteź“ before returning to Lidzbark Warmiński; the second loop passes through Kłębowo, Lake Symsar and Blanki on the way back to Suryty. If a particular destination matters to you, the named places and return point offer a more specific comparison than the similar distances.

The municipal road to Lidzbark Warmiński also serves as a cycling route; it was resurfaced in 2011. Check current route conditions before setting out, especially if you plan to use this road section.

Kayaking across several bodies of water

The kayaking trail is more than 20 kilometres long and runs through Lake Blanki. It can start at the cape at Blanki and continues via Lake Symsar and Klutajny to Lidzbark Warmiński. Unlike the cycling loops, which have return points, this is a water route with its own start and end points. The possible starting point at the cape at Blanki should be distinguished from the accommodation’s location on the peninsula in Suryty. For planning the trip, the starting point and Lidzbark Warmiński as the destination are the key reference points.

Fishing at Lake Blanki

Lake Blanki is managed by Gospodarstwo Rybacko-Wędkarskie Olsztyn. Fishing permits cannot be purchased online there. If fishing is part of your plans, check the current permit situation with the operator in advance, as this information may change. Confirm this before planning a fishing trip rather than assuming you can buy a permit online.
