Szałkowo: Hiking Trail, Cycling Route and Folklore

The hiking trail covers 28.3 kilometers and takes approximately six hours on foot; at 77 kilometers, the cycling route is considerably longer. Cultural Experiences

In Szałkowo, you can sing shanties in taverns or around a campfire, listen to sailors’ stories and sample regional specialties. On August 2, 2025, the 27th Spotkania z Folklorem (Folklore Gathering) took place in Szałkowo. The event was linked to a local stage of the nationwide culinary competition “Bitwa Regionów 2025” (Battle of the Regions 2025); 15 folk groups performed as part of the artistic program.
