If you are looking for a hotel in Sosnowiec, the city’s local highlights can help you refine the purpose of your trip: parks and cycling routes, cultural offerings, as well as activities by the water or in winter. The places below show how varied a stay in the city can be.

Green spaces and cycling routes

Sielecki Park is a historic city park in Sosnowiec. Sielecki Castle is located in the park, and the Czarna Przemsza flows right through it. TysiÄ…clecia Park has a different focus: the 102-hectare recreational area stretches along the Brynica. The city thus brings together, in different ways, a historic park with a castle and river, and a large recreational area.

Three cycling routes provide specific reference points for planning a ride. The Szlak Rowerowy Czarnego Morza is 15 kilometres long and runs entirely within Sosnowiec. The Szlak Rowerowy Lasu ZagĂłrskiego is also entirely within Sosnowiec and runs through the ZagĂłrze and Czarne Morze districts. The Szlak Rowerowy Dawnego Pogranicza is marked in red and also runs entirely within Sosnowiec. This offers different points of reference for choosing a route: length, named districts or colour marking.

Water and outdoor activities

The water-based offerings have different highlights: the public beach at Stawiki is about 100 metres long and has changing rooms and toilets; Wake Zone Stawiki is a water-skiing centre that also caters to wakeboarders. Seasonal beach details and operating arrangements may change. Check the latest conditions before visiting.

The Stawiki educational trail is 732 metres long and includes eight stations covering different topics. In winter, people ski and snowboard in Ĺšrodula Park; check seasonal availability before your trip. The park also has trails for mountain biking, Nordic walking, mountainboarding and running.

Culture, theatre and events

The collection “Polskie Szkło Współczesne” is on display at Pałac Schoena Muzeum w Sosnowcu. It illustrates the achievements of Polish glassmaking from the 20th century to the present day. Teatr Zagłębia presents theatrical performances and artistic events. Sosnowieckie Centrum Sztuki – Zamek Sielecki organises cultural events. In Silesia, the Szlak Architektury Drewnianej includes 97 historic buildings and architectural ensembles; the number may change. This adds a regional perspective to the local cultural overview.

Concerts take place at the amphitheatre in Park im. Jacka Kuronia, where they have been organised by Miejski Dom Kultury Kazimierz since 2007. Check the current event programme when planning a specific visit. A small zoo in the same park is home to more than thirty animal species; the animal population may change over time.
