Koleczkowo can be considered for trip planning through two themes: trails along the Zagórska Struga and the memory of partisan fighting. If you want to combine an interest in hiking with a specific connection to the area when choosing a destination, the local black hiking trail and a longer hiking and horse-riding route offer two different points of reference. The village also has historical landmarks. This allows you to focus your hotel search on the themes that actually matter for your stay.

The Zagórska Struga Trail and Koleczkowski Młyn

The Zagórska Struga flows through Koleczkowo. After crossing the road between Koleczkowo and Chylonia, the black trail of the same name runs through the stream valley. Its route passes across meadows, through wooded areas and along the edge of the forest. The trail also passes through Koleczkowski Młyn, the northern part of Koleczkowo on the banks of the Zagórska Struga, and near the site of the former mill.

In 2021, the trail in the Koleczkowski Młyn area was rerouted from the forest edge to Młyńska Street because the previous section crossed private property. Follow the signage for directions on site.

Two Trails, Different Scales

The Daniel Chodowiecki Hiking and Horse-Riding Trail passes through Koleczkowo and is 283 km long in total. This is on a different scale from the locally described black Zagórska Struga route: for the Daniel Chodowiecki route, the figure refers to the entire trail, not to a section in Koleczkowo. The two names refer to different trails, so they should not be treated as a single local route. This distinction is useful when choosing a hiking route: one description covers the route through Młyn and the stream landscape, while the other places the village on a 283 km hiking and horse-riding route.

Forest and Landscape

The wooded parts of Koleczkowo lie mostly in the buffer zone of Trójmiejski Landscape Park. This geographical description applies to the wooded areas; the Zagórska Struga trail, by contrast, follows a specific route through a valley, across meadows, through wooded areas and along the edge of the forest. In this way, the broader landscape setting and the description of a single trail complement each other. If forests and hiking are important to you, these two perspectives can help shape your choice of destination.

Memorial Sites and Local History

A monument to partisans of the TOW “Gryf Kaszubski” was unveiled in Koleczkowo in 1964. A partisan bunker has been reconstructed in a wooded area next to the school in Koleczkowo. The regional ensemble “Koleczkowianie” was active in Koleczkowo from 2012 to 2019. The monument provides an earlier historical point of reference, dating to 1964; the ensemble’s activities belong to the later period of 2012–2019. The reconstructed bunker adds a physical landmark associated with this history beside the school.
