Przyjaźń brings together several distinct themes for a trip: a Gothic church with a long building history, a manor park ensemble, Lake Przyjaźń, and trails for walkers and cyclists. This lets you plan your visit around what matters most to you: cultural history, nature or activities in the surrounding area. The blue-marked Szlak Kartuski passes through Przyjaźń; its full route runs from Kartuzy to Sopot Kamienny Potok. When looking for a hotel, it may help to first decide which of these aspects of the town you want to shape your trip.

Lake and forest around Przyjaźń

Lake Przyjaźń borders the eastern side of Przyjaźń. Many bird species nest at the lake. Numerous areas of woodland stretch around the town, and together with the lake they shape the character of the landscape. This gives you two distinct nature themes: the birdlife at the lake and the surrounding forests. If nature matters to your travel plans, you can consider these aspects separately rather than treating them as a single experience.

Manor park ensemble and manor house

The present form of the manor park ensemble in Przyjaźń dates from around the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and is based on spatial elements from the 18th century. The manor house in the ensemble was built in 1870. These dates refer to different aspects: an older spatial foundation, the construction of the manor house and the ensemble's later present-day form. The park also contains numerous trees of natural monument value. Building history and landscape features thus form part of a shared theme. If you are interested in historic places, you can distinguish between the different periods rather than reducing the park and manor house to a single date of origin.

Church of Saint John the Evangelist

The small Gothic Church of Saint John the Evangelist is a listed monument and dates from the 14th century. It was remodelled in 1611. The church's construction in the 14th century and its later remodelling should therefore be distinguished when considering its history. The church has a Baroque altar and a Baroque pulpit. This building thus brings together Gothic architectural history and Baroque features. When exploring the town's history, the church offers a distinct focus alongside the manor park ensemble, whose development took a different course.

Walking and cycling trails

The blue-marked Szlak Kartuski is 69.5 kilometres long and runs from Kartuzy to Sopot Kamienny Potok. In Żukowo municipality, it passes through Przyjaźń between Otomino and Niestępowo. For planning purposes, it is important to distinguish between the full trail and its local route: the 69.5 kilometres describes the trail between its endpoints, while Przyjaźń is one section of the route. A cycling route also includes Przyjaźń as well as Gdańsk Zaspa, Otomin, Sulmin and Niestępowo.
