Accommodation in Kluszkowce
Kluszkowce combines the lake at Lake Czorsztyńskie with mountain scenery, historic buildings and trails through natural and cultural landscapes. If you are looking for a hotel in Kluszkowce, you can plan your stay around what matters most to you: Osada Turystyczna Czorsztyn, trails and gorges, winter sports, or the marina.
Location by the lake and the foothills of Lubań
Kluszkowce lies in the valley of the Kluszkowianka stream, on the southwestern foothills of Lubań, at an altitude of 530 to 600 m. The village is also situated on Lake Czorsztyńskie. The peaks of the surrounding Pieniny and Gorce mountains are reflected in the lake. Both the elevation and the waterside setting shape how visitors find their way around the area.
An open-air complex with 31 architectural structures
Osada Turystyczna Czorsztyn, a tourist open-air complex with 31 architectural structures, is located on the Stylchyn Peninsula in Kluszkowce. It includes nine historic wooden guesthouses and villas, eleven rural farmhouses and utility buildings, and eleven stone cellars with wooden superstructures. The three groups showcase different aspects of local architectural history: historic wooden buildings, rural utility architecture, and stone cellars with wooden structures above them.
Gorge, remembrance and hiking trails
The gorge known as Wąwóz Papieski in Kluszkowce commemorates a mass celebrated there by Cardinal Wojtyła on July 9, 1978, in a meadow in front of the entrance, during a spiritual retreat of the Światło–Życie Movement. An educational nature trail runs through the gorge along the route of an old andesite quarry. The site thus brings together a specific historical memory and a nature trail connected with the area's former use.
For a hike lasting several hours, the route from Osada Turystyczna Czorsztyn via Jaworzyny Ochotnickie to Lubań is a useful option. It is 8.7 km long and takes about 3 hours and 15 minutes. This time is an estimate; trail conditions and markings may change. Check them before setting out if you plan to follow the route.
The Modrzewie nature and forest educational trail has viewing terraces, shelters and maps showing the trail route and the nature of the reserve. Other access points are on Leśna and Modrzewiowa streets in Kluszkowce. If you are factoring these facilities into your plans, check their condition before your visit.
Ski slopes and summer toboggan run
The ski slopes in Kluszkowce include three lifts that take visitors up the slope within five minutes. The Roller-Coaster-type summer toboggan run on Góra Wdżar is 1,000 m long. Check the latest operating information for the facilities before making plans; you should also confirm in advance whether the toboggan run will be operating during your visit.
Marina and regional traditions
The marina of the Podhalańskie Towarzystwo Żeglarskie in Kluszkowce has floating pontoons where sailing and motor boats can moor. Next to the marina is a bacówka, where Oscypek and other regional cheeses are sold. If you are planning to buy cheese, check in advance whether it is available.
Pieniński Wypas Kulturowy celebrates the end of the grazing season. An announcement from 2025 described the gathering as the third edition; traditions, music and regional flavours were at its heart. Dates and programmes for future editions may vary.
