If you are looking for a hotel in ’t Loo, the activities you have planned can be a helpful starting point when choosing your destination. Local options range from cycling tours with different focuses to a woodland walking trail, art, church-related attractions and group activities. Consider whether you would rather experience the landscape by bike, follow a particular route or include cultural activities in your trip. This can help you tailor your stay to your specific interests.

Cycling tours with different focuses

The “Fietsroute rond Oldebroek” cycling route starts in ’t Loo on the edge of the Veluwe. From there, it heads towards the Drontermeer and then follows the Veluwemeer. The scenery shifts between pastureland, woodland and heath, as well as country estates and villages. The route therefore takes in several types of landscape and follows a clear direction: first towards the Drontermeer and then along the Veluwemeer. These details can help you distinguish it from the other local routes.

The Smultoer has a different focus: this cycling route also centres on stopping to sample local treats. Cyclists can stop at five of the seven participating businesses and enjoy a treat. For navigation, the Smultoer follows cycling junctions wherever possible. Where there are none, the route description in the app provides directions. Unlike the “Fietsroute rond Oldebroek” landscape route, the Smultoer combines cycling with specific places to stop for refreshments and a stated way of navigating.

Walking trail and church route

If you would like to include a walk, the Natuurpad ’t Loo runs through the woodland. The walking trail is 1.6 kilometres long. Its name and length give you a clear point of reference for planning, while the two cycling routes focus on other themes: landscape and refreshment stops, respectively.

The “Van Kerkdorp tot Dorpskerk” cycling route also passes through ’t Loo. At the entrance to each church along the route, there is a purple sticker with a QR code. It provides information, photos and videos about the church in question. The Maranathakerk is the only church in ’t Loo. If you are interested in churches, you can use this local detail as a point of reference alongside the route.

Art and activities

The Kunsthoeve is a gallery in the Landgoed ’t Loo holiday park where artists exhibit their work. It also offers workshops for adults. Topics range from photography and handicrafts to painting abstract portraits with acrylics and drawing with pastels. The workshops are also open to adults who are not staying at the park; the opportunity to take part may change. As specific dates can change, check them in advance if you would like to include a workshop in your travel plans.

For groups, Het Buitencentrum Oldebroek offers activities such as a high ropes course, tree climbing, Fire Skills and Nature Cooking. The selection includes both active pursuits and activities involving fire and cooking in nature. The availability of individual activities may vary, so confirm your chosen activity before booking.

Practical information for your arrival

Landal Landgoed ’t Loo operates a car-free policy, except in the area marked in orange. Cars may be used there only to load and unload luggage on arrival and departure; in between, they can be parked in the central car park. As the parking rules may change, check them before you arrive. This will help you plan your journey and where to park your car.
