Several named trails include Braga in different ways: Sentiero n. 62 and Sentiero n. 53 start here, Sentiero CAI 63 reaches the village, and the C13 – Traversata del Baldo passes through it. For your planning, Braga’s role on each route matters: starting point, destination or stop along the way.

Braga also has a place in history: it is one of the settlements that developed near springs.

Routes with different starting points and destinations

Sentiero n. 62 starts in Braga and ends at Malga Valfreda Crocetta. It follows an old transhumance route from the villages on the Caprino plain to the summer pastures of Monte Baldo. Transhumance means the seasonal movement between grazing areas; the route can therefore be understood as a link between the villages on the plain and the summer pastures.

Mountain biking on Sentiero n. 62 is permitted only between Pradonego and Malga Ime. The permitted section is clearly limited; plan your mountain bike ride exclusively along this stretch.

Sentiero n. 53, also called Sentiero Eugenio Turri, runs from Braga to Lumini via the meadow of Piore and Monte Creta. Unlike n. 62, it ends in Lumini rather than at Malga Valfreda Crocetta. If Lumini is your desired destination, n. 53 is the corresponding one of the two routes described.

Sentiero CAI 63 reaches Braga via Valle delle Chiare, after passing Pradonego. A CAI hiking route also runs uphill from LocalitĂ  Braga on Sentiero CAI 63 to Colonei di Caprino. For planning, direction matters: on the first route, Braga is the destination; on the second, it is the starting point for the uphill trail. This lets you distinguish between a route leading to the village and a hike from Braga to Colonei.

These trails also differ in their destinations: Sentiero n. 62 leads to Malga Valfreda Crocetta, n. 53 to Lumini, and the CAI hiking route from LocalitĂ  Braga climbs to Colonei di Caprino. Take the starting point and the route of each trail into account when making your choice.

C13: Through the village to the viewpoint

The C13 – Traversata del Baldo runs from Renzon to Braga, passes through the village and then continues towards Pradonego. This route has a viewpoint in Braga with a spectacular panorama. Unlike Sentiero n. 62, which starts in Braga, Braga is a stop along the C13 between Renzon and Pradonego. If you distinguish the trails by Braga’s role on each, one has it as a starting point and the other as a place to pass through.
