Monte Moscal and Valsorda
Monte Moscal rises 427 metres above the plain and is a destination for day trips. Its limestone cliffs formed during the Oligocene and Miocene; fossils have been found there. Valsorda descends from Incaffi to Bardolino. These landscape features help you understand the different directions available for outings. San Bartolomeo in Località Caorsa dates back to the 13th century. The Church of San Pietro in Vincoli was rebuilt in 1761 on the site of an 11th-century Romanesque chapel. Sant’Andrea is a 12th-century Romanesque church, built largely from stone from Incaffi. The buildings date from different periods and are not necessarily part of a short walking tour. Check their location and access if church art is a main reason for your trip. Affi’s former railway station now serves as a library; the Affi–Garda railway line was closed in 1956 and is therefore not a current train connection to the lake.
