Torre Delle Stelle can be explored through its distinctive coastal features, vegetation and range of activities. When planning a trip, factors such as wind-dependent water sports, rugged terrain and seasonal dates also play a role.

Beaches and Water

Behind Cann’e Sisa beach is a pine forest. The public beach in the Località Torre delle Stelle is 500 metres long. Genn’e Mari lies to the east, beyond a cliff. The water there is shallow; when it is windy, kiteboarders and windsurfers use the area. The coastal spots therefore differ in several ways: Cann’e Sisa combines a beach with a pine forest, while Genn’e Mari is defined by its position beyond the cliff, its shallow water and its wind-dependent use by water sports enthusiasts.

Nature and Coastal Route

The coastal vegetation around Torre Delle Stelle is shaped by the granite-rich substrate, proximity to the sea and a climate that is among the warmest in Sardinia. Plant life ranges from forests and cliff vegetation to plants found on beaches and dunes. It also includes vegetation along streams and waterways. This means the natural landscape encompasses a variety of habitats—from rocky shores and dunes to vegetated banks.

The Litoranea offers a different perspective: it can be travelled by motorbike, car or bicycle, and features viewpoints and natural rest stops. Rather than connecting specific destinations described here, the route can be appreciated for its own features: the ways to travel it, and the viewpoints and rest stops along the way.

Torre de Su Fenugu: History and Views

Torre de Su Fenugu was probably built in 1578 and formed part of the coastal defence system. This function places the tower within the history of coastal protection. The path to the Torre crosses rugged terrain and ends at one of the area’s most striking viewpoints. Trail and access conditions may vary; check them before your visit.

Access to the tower is difficult because its entrance is four metres above the ground. The viewpoint and the tower entrance are therefore two different aspects of a visit: the path crosses challenging terrain to reach a viewpoint, while the height of the entrance makes it difficult to enter the structure.

Events and Guided Activities

At Genn’e Mari, Festa del Cristo dei sub has been celebrated every year since the statue of Christ was placed on the seabed in the waters of Torre delle Stelle. Divers from Sinnai take part in the tradition. This recurring event connects the coastal village with a maritime celebration, while the beaches and water sports opportunities offer other aspects of a stay.

The seasonal Movie Nights programme at Parco di Torre delle Stelle includes free outdoor cinema every Wednesday evening in July and August. Screenings begin at 9 pm. If you are planning an evening around a screening, check the dates for your chosen season.

Olè Kayak offers guided kayak tours through caves, along cliffs and across turquoise waters. Check the provider’s latest information before your trip. The activities differ in what they depend on: for the cinema programme, the season and day of the week matter; use of Genn’e Mari by kiteboarders and windsurfers depends on windy weather; and the kayak tours are guided.
