Discover Tribiano: churches, the Addetta and golf
Accommodation in Tribiano
Tribiano offers a range of ways to plan your trip: historic churches and traces of older buildings, the Addetta and Parco Agricolo Sud Milano, as well as golf and cycling. You can organise the local routes and activities around the theme that matters most to you during your stay.
The Addetta, scenery and routes
The Addetta flows through Tribiano as a branch of the Canale della Muzza. The Golf Club Zoate course also runs alongside the Addetta canal. The watercourse is therefore part of both the local landscape and the description of the golf facilities, though these are not the same experience.
Tribiano lies within the boundaries of Parco Agricolo Sud Milano. If you are interested in the landscape, you can consider this location together with the course of the Addetta. Local green spaces also include three municipal parks: Cervi, Freud and Manzoni.
Tribiano’s built-up areas are connected by tree-lined avenues with wide pavements, as well as cycling and walking paths. This local orientation complements the landscape themes with a description of the routes between built-up areas. It also gives an idea of the forms of transport taken into account in the town’s layout.
Churches and historic traces
In its present form, the parish church of Tribiano probably preserves the state of the building dating to around 1622. It has a single nave and two side chapels: one dedicated to the Madonna del Rosario, the other to the Crucifix.
Another historic church is San Barbaziano, the old parish church of Tribiano. It was probably built towards the end of the 11th century. In Zoate, a hamlet in Tribiano, you will find the church of Santa Maddalena; the small Oratorio dei Santi Gervasio e Protasio is in Lanzano, Tribiano. These places offer several named points of interest for exploring local history.
On the right bank of the Addetta, the building known as Castello or Convento preserves the remains of an old monastery. Molino d’Arese also points to a much earlier past: the building is thought to be the villa that Trebius built on Via Regina towards the end of the 2nd and beginning of the 1st century BC. This presumed identification is part of the historical interpretation, not a confirmed attribution.
Golf and cycling
Golf Club Zoate is located in Zoate di Tribiano, at Via G. Verdi 8. Its flat course has 18 holes and a par of 72, and runs alongside the Addetta canal. The course length, par and setting are specific features to consider when exploring the golf facilities.
Zoate Golf Academy offers structured, personalised training for golfers of all abilities, from beginners to experienced players. The course and academy therefore cover different aspects of golf: the course itself, on the one hand, and training for different levels of experience, on the other.
Tribiano is also associated with cycling. The “Da Milano lungo il canale della Muzza” route first follows the Muzza Canal to Paullo, then continues to Tribiano along a cycle path.
