The Ring and railway history

The Ring was known as the Rhosgoch Hotel when the renowned harpist Owen Jones, also known as Telynor Cybi, was its tenant. The hotel’s name is part of this historical episode. The Ring was also close to Rhosgoch station on the railway line from Gaerwen to Amlwch. Livestock was often loaded onto trains at this station, connecting local history with agriculture at the time.
