Opfingen offers two concrete starting points for planning a trip: its themed trails and the Opfinger quarry lake. The trails are defined by their length and views, while the lake has separate recreation and protected natural areas.

Opfingen’s themed trails start in the village centre. The three routes can be compared by length: the wine trail is 1.5 kilometres long, the panoramic trail 4.1 kilometres and the lizard trail 6.9 kilometres. This makes the wine trail the shortest and the lizard trail the longest of the three. The wine trail runs through the vineyards and is marked by 20 information boards; it ends at a lookout tower.
