Mine de Cap Garonne and local history

A visit to the Mine de Cap Garonne takes you through former copper mines and explores the lives of the miners and the history of the rock. Mineralogy is also part of the visit: the mine is home to almost 130 mineral species, including 14 first discovered there worldwide. The visit thus brings human labour and geological diversity together.

Market and wineries

The weekly Marché de Provence in Le Pradet features food stalls as well as flower and clothing stalls. Wine enthusiasts can choose from several different tour options at Domaine La Navicelle. An oenological tour explores the vineyard’s history as well as biodynamic and organic winemaking, and ends with a tasting of three cuvées. A more in-depth wine experience combines a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars with a tasting of six cuvées. Instants Gourmands pair wines with an artisan cheese and charcuterie platter and a short tour of the estate.
