Tigny-Noyelle lies in the lower Authie valley plain. The Marais de Tigny and Noyelle wetlands shape the area with extensive wet meadows and diverse birdlife. Other attractions include a walking trail in the Marais de Noyelle, Jardin Euphonie and two public book boxes.

Wet Meadows and Birdlife

The Marais de Tigny and Noyelle wetlands encompass extensive wet meadows in the lower Authie valley plain. In both summer and winter, they are home to diverse communities of wetland and hedgerow birds. Nature is therefore not tied to just one season: both a summer and a winter trip can take in these landscapes. The Marais de Tigny covers 33.8 hectares. Protected plants such as Ache rampante and Pesse d’eau grow there, and white storks also nest there. Both wetlands feature wet meadows and diverse bird communities; the Marais de Tigny covers 33.8 hectares and is home to protected Ache rampante and Pesse d’eau, as well as nesting white storks.

Walking Trail and Route Variant

A walking trail runs through the Marais de Noyelle. A variant of the Boucle des Marais crosses the Authie bridge to the wetland, where an information panel is located. The walking trail in the Marais de Noyelle and the route variant with its bridge and information panel offer different points of reference for finding your way. The information panel adds an on-site source of information along the route.

Jardin Euphonie

Jardin Euphonie offers a different experience from the wet meadows: it is a Japanese garden with a tea pavilion, Shinto altar, torii gate, Japanese bath, pond and more than 100 plant species. The combination of architectural and horticultural features makes the garden a destination in its own right during your stay. If you would like to include a landscaped garden in your day’s plans as well as the natural scenery, this contrast can help guide you. Visiting details and admission conditions may change; check them in advance if you are planning a visit.

Book Boxes and Mill

Two freely accessible self-service book boxes are located at bus stops and are intended for residents, walkers and visitors. The Noyelle box is at the bus stop on Route du Val d’Authie. The Tigny box is near the bus stop on Route de la Vallée, towards Impasse de la Mairie. The different location details help you identify the two sites precisely. The municipality may move the boxes; check their locations before your visit if needed.

The Moulin de Tigny has different access conditions: it is privately owned and is not open to visitors. Check its access status again before travelling. This distinction is important for your plans: the book boxes are freely accessible, while the mill is not an option for a sightseeing visit.
