For a stay focused on hiking, L'Honor-de-Cos offers marked PR trails through the slopes and valleys of the commune. Two family-friendly routes differ in distance, elevation gain and approximate duration; the landscapes described also offer contrasting scenery.

Choose hiking trails by distance and scenery

The Circuit de Gibelot is 12 kilometres long, includes 281 metres of elevation gain and takes approximately three hours. It starts at the 14th-century Church of Saint-Saturnin in Aussac. The route alternates between valleys and hills, orchards and forests. Along the way, you can see dovecotes and traditional Quercy buildings; the Ferme Daynes, a block farmstead with two distinctive dovecotes dating from the 16th century, also lies within view of the route.

The Circuit de Rossignol connects Léribosc and Belpech through green landscapes of alternating orchards and wooded areas. At 6.5 kilometres, with 161 metres of elevation gain and an approximate duration of two hours, it is the shorter of the two routes described. The difference between the routes is 5.5 kilometres and 120 metres of elevation gain; their estimated durations differ by around an hour. This lets you take both the time required and the scenery into account when making your choice. Check trail conditions and waymarking locally.

Discover churches and history

The parish Church of Saint-Etienne stands in Léribosc. Its predecessor was destroyed during the Wars of Religion around 1622; the rebuilt church dates from the 17th century. A north chapel was added in the 19th century. The floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, and the side chapels have rib vaults. Stained glass and paintings are among its features. The building's history can thus be read in its different architectural and decorative elements.

Fruit varieties and regional produce

The municipal heritage orchard was established in 2005. It covers just under three hectares, sits on a steep slope and is home to more than 300 heritage fruit varieties. The collection and sloping site give this place its own agricultural character. Most producers in L'Honor-de-Cos sell fresh farm produce directly to customers. This includes strawberries, asparagus, cherries, peaches, apples and Chasselas grapes, as well as geese and fattened ducks. Individual suppliers and availability may vary.

The freely accessible multisport facility offers handball, badminton, tennis, football tennis, football, basketball and volleyball. It is also accessible to people with reduced mobility.
