Churches, chapel, and museum

The Église de Saint Laurent d'Olt was built in 1483; it houses a painting from 1651 depicting the Crucifixion. The Romanesque Église d'Estables, dating from the 12th century, represents a different period of construction. It contains numerous figurative, historiated capitals. While the church of Saint Laurent is distinguished by a precisely dated painting, the capitals are a notable architectural feature of Estables.

The Église de Bonneterre also dates from the 18th century and is dedicated to Saint Amans. The Église de Canet d’Olt also dates from the 18th century; it houses an unusual baptismal font and a statue of Saint Ferréol. Their shared period highlights the differences in their points of interest: at Bonneterre, the dedication takes center stage, while at Canet d’Olt, the focus is on the interior furnishings.

The Chapelle St Ferréol was built in the 17th century at the foot of Marijolet, on the banks of the Lot. Every year, a pilgrimage with a Mass in Occitan is held at the chapel. In the town center, the Musée Jean Boudou preserves documents relating to the works of the Occitan writer Jean Boudou. Alongside the religious buildings, there is also a literary connection to a writer and his works.
