Jussac offers several ways to plan a stay focused on cycling, horse riding or local history. The offerings at the Base VTT du Moulin are particularly specific: they include mountain bike circuits, a network of routes connecting several communes, and bicycle rentals that must be reserved in advance. Jussac also has traces of its past and other attractions that reveal a different side of the town.

Mountain Bike Routes and Bicycle Rentals

The Base VTT du Moulin in Jussac is FFCT-certified and offers four permanently signposted mountain bike circuits. In addition, its offerings include around 100 kilometres of signposted and secured routes, with connections between Jussac, Aurillac, Saint-Cernin and Saint-Illide. When planning your routes, you can choose between the four circuits and the larger network of routes.

If you need a bike, you can rent a mountain bike or an electric mountain bike from the Base VTT du Moulin by making a reservation. Around twenty bikes are available year-round for adults and young people aged 16 and over. The age requirement and advance reservation apply to this rental offer. Together with the route information, these details make it easier to plan whether to bring your own bike or reserve one locally.

A time-specific example of the different route formats is the municipal programme for La Jussacoise on 7 June 2026. It listed mountain bike routes ranging from 22 to 55 kilometres, with 392 to 1,216 metres of elevation gain. There were also trail-running routes of 10 and 20 kilometres, with 314 and 597 metres of elevation gain respectively, neither timed. For cycling routes, the programme listed 47 kilometres with 747 metres of elevation gain, 78 kilometres with 1,315 metres, and 97 kilometres with 1,820 metres. It also included walks of 10 and 20 kilometres, as well as an 8-kilometre health walk with 60 metres of elevation gain. These details describe the formats in that programme, not a date for a future stay.

Horse Riding and Other Interests

Visitors can try horse riding at the Ferme Équestre de l’Authre, located on the Promenade des Sports in Jussac. A municipal description from 2020 also lists courses during school holidays for equestrian qualifications, as well as dressage and show jumping, and demonstrations. So, alongside cycling, horse riding is another option, with specific disciplines and formats to explore.

Cultural Heritage in Jussac

The Church of Saint-Martin houses a reliquary that has been protected as a historic object since 20 July 1983. The Chapelle d’Hauterive is another local testament to a rich past. Jussac also has numerous manor houses, some of which can claim the status of a château. These references cover different forms of local heritage: a specifically protected object, a chapel and a group of historic residences. The qualification about château status applies to some manor houses, not all of them.

Jussac’s agricultural festival has also been revived and continues to grow from year to year. It adds a connection to the commune’s agricultural life alongside its historic sites. Another useful point of reference is the Médiathèque Jean-Claude Maurel, which is open to everyone, including people who live outside the CABA.

Summer Dates and Planning Your Stay

For 2026, the municipal programme scheduled the gourmet market for Thursdays in July and August on the Promenade des Sports; the programme names the local festival committee as the organiser. This timeframe applies to the 2026 season and should not be taken as a date for another year. Together with the year-round bicycle rentals that require advance booking, this example shows how planning in Jussac varies depending on the activity and time of year. When choosing your stay, you can first consider whether you would like to focus on cycling routes, horse riding, cultural heritage or a suitable seasonal event.
