Discover Lakšárska Nová Ves
Accommodation in Lakšárska Nová Ves
During a stay in Lakšárska Nová Ves, marked trails, protected areas, and historic buildings can offer different focal points. For planning, it helps to know the routes: a long-distance hiking trail passes through the village, while other routes head from here towards the Tomky recreation area. The history of the buildings offers a separate perspective on the village.
Hiking and cycling
The Závod–Senica long-distance hiking trail passes through Lakšárska Nová Ves. By contrast, a blue-marked hiking trail follows a forest path from Lakšárska Nová Ves to the Tomky recreation area. The routes therefore differ both in their markings and in their described course: the long-distance trail passes through the village, while the blue-marked trail leads from there to Tomky.
The nature trail starts in Lakšárska Nová Ves, in the Záhorie Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Záhorie), passes the Červený rybník National Nature Reserve (NPR Červený rybník), and gradually continues to the Tomky recreation area. Along the nature trail, information boards describe selected plant, fungi, and animal species.
There are also two specific points of reference for getting around by bicycle. A map of the Záhorie Sever cycling route is located at the main intersection in the centre. The so-called Kopaničiarska cycling route also passes through Lakšárska Nová Ves.
Nature and protected areas
Almost the entire cadastral area of Lakšárska Nová Ves lies within the Záhorie Protected Landscape Area (CHKO Záhorie). The Červený rybník National Nature Reserve (NPR Červený rybník) is also located within the cadastral area. It protects a swamp alder forest of the Carici elongatae-Alnetum association and remnants of a peat meadow with plant communities of the Caricion fuscae association. These descriptions therefore identify both a forest habitat and preserved peat meadow areas.
The Zelienka Nature Reserve (PR Zelienka) is also within the cadastral area. It is one of the last remaining inter-dune peatland areas. The highest, fifth level of protection applies in the wetlands; leaving the paths is prohibited there. So if you visit the wetlands, stay on the paths.
Another local landscape feature is a lake covering 35,953 m², with a distinctive natural setting. Together with the protected areas and peatland habitats, it shows that nature is not limited to a single route. When planning, you can decide whether you would prefer to follow one particular trail or explore several aspects of the natural environment.
Church and chapel
The Baroque Church of Saint Lawrence was built in 1729–1730 and has been a protected cultural monument since 1968. A defensive wall with loopholes, dating from the late 17th century, surrounds the church. This wall enclosed the first church on the site of today's sacred building. The construction history therefore spans several periods: the wall dates from the late 17th century, while the present sacred building was erected in the 18th century.
Another historic site is the Baroque chapel dedicated to Saint Simon and Saint Jude. It was built in 1754 in the centre of Lakšárska Nová Ves. The church and chapel are separate buildings, each with its own date and dedication; if you are interested in local history, they offer two specific points of interest.
The local attractions give your search a clear focus. You can then compare the details of each hotel in its listing.
