Harbor Village and Getting Around
At the ferry terminal, Jentene på Kaien serves as a tourist information center and meeting place for locals and visitors. It has a café, and products made by local artists and craftspeople are also sold there. Bikes can be rented at the ferry terminal and from the tourist information office at Landhandleriet. Maps and suggestions for various cycling routes can help you plan your options.
Church, History and Food
Fedje kyrkje is a prominent landmark. Churches have stood at the current site since the 17th century; Fedje kyrkje was consecrated on September 7, 1941. Its history therefore extends beyond the present-day church, while the consecration date provides a specific point of reference for the building.
At Fedje harbor, Feddie Ocean Distillery offers bookable tours of its production facilities, including tastings. The tour tells the story of the distillery from its founding in 2019 to the present day. For a meal or a break, Losen is a cozy, informal place to eat in the heart of the harbor. At the outdoor terrace, you can sample spirits from Feddie Ocean Distillery, among other things.
Tours and Activities
“Mordet på Fedje” is an outdoor activity for groups of two to four players. The route is two kilometers long and starts in the harbor center; it takes about two hours. This gives you both the route length and an approximate duration to help with planning.
Nearby, a RIB tour through the skerries around Fedje includes a visit to Hellisøy fyr and a guided tour of the lighthouse. The three Nordsjøløypa hiking trails can also be linked into a long day hike as a loop in the surrounding area. In the wider destination of Fedje, these trails pass through natural and cultural history as well as coastal heathland; much of the route offers sea views. Depending on the route you choose, the hikes take between one and three hours.
The Dagsturhytta in the surrounding area is open to all visitors and has a fire pit that is free to use for grilling. For a different kind of break, there is a sauna on the quay next to the Sardinfabrikken Fab 8 apartments. It can be booked for an agreed time, and a sauna session includes a cold dip.

During tours of Feddie Ocean Distillery, guides explain the founder’s vision.
Aurihophytta is the day cabin of Fedje Municipality. Its facilities include a small wood-burning stove, a library with children’s books in Nynorsk, and benches indoors and outdoors. The bathing spot by Husavatnet has a small beach, platforms, a floating jetty, toilets and waste bins. The water is brackish and warms up faster than the sea offshore. These features give you more ideas for planning in the wider destination of Fedje, separate from the offerings and facilities in the harbor village.
