The landscape and urban attractions are equally varied: a 1.6-kilometre educational trail runs alongside a horseshoe-shaped oxbow lake in the Nevėžis Valley of Krekenava Regional Park; there is also an observation platform. In Miežiškiai, a museum is dedicated to old Christmas tree decorations. Senvagė has cycling and walking paths, as well as sports, play, recreation and viewing facilities. These examples range from a trail beside an oxbow lake with an observation platform to a specialised museum and a range of recreational facilities.

Festive or educational train rides on the Aukštaitija narrow-gauge railway depart from the city railway station in Panevėžys. Check the current dates when planning your visit.
