A cultural and historical route takes in the city's sights. It is complemented by the Ilida Agro & Food Fest – Made Olympian Land, whose first edition focused on local products and culinary themes.

Folklore Museum and Everyday Culture

The Municipal Folklore Museum of Amaliáda is housed in a building in Beloyiannis Park in the city center. It presents the history and traditions of Amaliáda through photographs, relevant literature, documents, and informational texts. It also exhibits works of local folk art, clothing, household items, agricultural tools, and locally produced objects. The different types of exhibits combine the presentation of traditions with a tangible look at everyday culture and local production. The folklore collection comes from donations by residents of the surrounding area. The collection's origins thus also point to the wider area around the city.

A Biographical Exhibition

A permanent exhibition is dedicated to Nikos Beloyiannis. It features rare documents, personal belongings, original photographs, and historical records. Its story follows his life from his youth in Ilia through his resistance work to his trial and execution in 1952. The focus is therefore on an individual biography and its key periods, rather than on a broad selection of traditions and everyday objects. The combination of biographical storytelling, documents, images, and personal items gives this part of the exhibition a different emphasis from the Folklore Museum.

Historic Buildings and Route

A cultural and historical route takes in the city's sights, offering a further city-focused perspective alongside the collections. It considers the sights as a whole, while each individual building has its own history. Tatani House was built as a residence in the early 20th century. The history of the Church of Agios Athanasios on the central square dates back to the second half of the 19th century; it was completed in 1867. In chronological terms, the church represents the earlier period and Tatani House the later one. The two landmarks thus differ both in their original uses and in their historical context.

Local Products and the Ilida Agro & Food Fest

The Ilida Agro & Food Fest – Made Olympian Land complements the cultural and historical themes with local products and cuisine. The first edition took place from September 19 to 21, 2025, in Beloyiannis Park in Amaliáda. Visitors could discover and sample local products, take part in tastings, and attend cooking workshops. Information was also available on innovation, exports, and gastronomic tourism. The tastings and cooking activities thus came together with broader topics related to products and tourism. The festival therefore differs from the museum and building themes: its focus was on local produce and visitor participation.
