Kamenná offers specific points of interest for your trip, encompassing landscape, views and culture. The nature trail, Kondračská hora and cultural sites in Kondrač each offer a different focus.

Nature Trail, Views and Route Orientation

The six-kilometre Krajinou humanity nature trail leads through the landscape around Chvalkov, Kamenná, Kondrač and Slavče. The terrain is varied. On seven information boards, the trail introduces seven prominent humanists from around the world. This gives the route a clear cultural theme while connecting it to the surrounding landscape.

At 682 metres, Kondračská hora is one of the viewpoints along the nature trail. From a viewpoint on Kondračská hora, the České Budějovice Basin, the Třeboň Basin and the Novohradské Mountains can be seen when weather conditions are favourable. If these long-distance views are important to your plans, bear in mind that visibility depends on the weather.

Two KČT routes are also specified for navigation, with numbers and endpoints: Route 1128 follows road III/1546 from Chvalkov to Kamenná. Route 1191 follows the same road from Kamenná to Rychnov u Nových Hradů. The route numbers and directions help distinguish the two. Check the local signs before setting out.

Culture in Kamenná and Kondrač

The settlement of Kondrač, which belongs to the municipality of Kamenná, is home to the Church of the Holy Trinity, called kostel Nejsvětější Trojice in Czech. It is considered an important cultural monument. Most of its furnishings are Neo-Gothic and date from 1866 to 1868; the church was fully reconstructed in 1998. Historically, Kamenná was a typical old German settlement with two rows of farmsteads along a road about 600 metres long. This historic settlement layout offers another cultural point of interest for your trip.

The Zaječí pramen Chapel, in the South Bohemian rural Baroque style, stands on the eastern side of Kamenská hora. The path to the chapel starts in Žumberk and branches off the blue-marked trail before Kamenná. As paths and markings may change, check the route before setting out.
