For a stay in Předhradí, you can combine several interests: Rychmburk Castle and other architectural history, the Panská zahrada park, and cycling and nature. The castle was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries; Panská zahrada has a children's playground and a restaurant. Also worth noting are the Church of Panny Marie Sedmibolestné, dating from 1753, and the cadastral area of Předhradí, which lies within the Údolí Krounky a Novohradky Nature Park.

Rychmburk Castle

A ring of walls with bastions survives in the original fortified outer bailey of Rychmburk Castle. Visitors can also climb the original 30-metre-high tower. The castle's period of construction places it in its historical context; the ring describes a specific defensive feature, while the tower offers a concrete reason to climb. Together, these provide different points of interest: its medieval context, the surviving outer-bailey fortifications and the opportunity to climb the tower.

Panská zahrada and architectural history

Panská zahrada is a park with a children's playground and a restaurant. It also features an arbour and a bust of Filip Kinský. If you are travelling with children, the playground may be relevant when planning a visit to the park; the arbour and bust provide further architectural and historical points of reference. The restaurant is also part of the park and can be taken into account as a specific facility when planning your visit.

The Church of Panny Marie Sedmibolestné in Předhradí dates from 1753. The urban ensemble of Skuteč–Předhradí includes a Renaissance manor brewery. The two buildings offer different historical points of reference: for the church, the key detail is the year 1753; for the manor brewery, it is its Renaissance character and its place within the ensemble. The medieval castle adds another point of reference in time. This allows you to compare the periods of the castle, the Renaissance brewery and the church during your visit, rather than assigning all the buildings to a single era.

Cycling route and nature park

For cyclists, the Borůvka–Předhradí (Rychmburk)–Luže (Košumberk) trip is a specific point of reference. It leads to the lower part of Předhradí, where Rychmburk Castle is located, and follows cycling routes 8551, 4024 and 18 for most of its length. The route name highlights its connection to Rychmburk; the three route numbers show which cycling routes it mainly follows. This lets you factor the trip into your plans based on its location and the specified cycling routes.

The cadastral area of Předhradí lies within the Údolí Krounky a Novohradky Nature Park. The park protects riparian vegetation along watercourses and also includes several habitats with populations of specially protected plant and animal species. This adds a landscape perspective to the cultural history when planning your trip: the park's natural value is shaped by its waterside areas and diverse habitats. Nature enthusiasts can include this as a separate theme in their travel plans.
