Anenská Studánka offers a variety of reasons to visit: its religious buildings and spring area tell the story of the town, while marked trails and a long-distance route help hikers find their way.

Church, Crucifix and Cultural Monuments

The Church of St. Lawrence is a Neo-Romanesque building dating from 1907. It was built on the site of an earlier church dating from 1607. The two years therefore refer to different building phases: 1607 to the predecessor church and 1907 to the present building. A stone crucifix dating from 1776 stands next to the church. It faces northwest from the church and was restored in 2010. A sculptural group depicting Mary, St. John of Nepomuk and St. Francis is also among the local cultural monuments. It is registered as a movable cultural monument under registration number 59388/36-1614.

Spring Area and the History of Spa Treatments

The spring area is protected as a cultural monument because it documents the history of local spa treatments. A colonnade now stands above the spring, on the former site of a chapel, following the reconstruction of the spring structure. This brings together two aspects of the place: the memory of its spa history and the present-day design of the spring area. If you plan to visit the colonnade, check how it is presented when you arrive.

Chapel and Pilgrimage

In the grounds of Domov u studánky, the Chapel of Panny Marie Pomocné was built in 1756 on the site of an older wooden shrine. The construction date and predecessor building give the chapel a clearly defined historical context. A pilgrimage is traditionally held at Domov u studánky. If you are planning your trip around it, check the dates and access arrangements for your specific visit in advance.

Hiking Trails and Stage Planning

Red- and green-marked hiking trails pass through Anenská Studánka. The Českomoravská stezka offers a different perspective on the route: in its route description, published in 2023, it reaches the Hřebečovský hřbet at the Anenská studánka pilgrimage site and then continues along the ridge. This distinguishes the trails passing through the town from the ridge route without implying that they follow the same course.

Anenská Studánka is also a stage stop on Via Czechia. The stage plan lists a restaurant and a bus connection. Before travelling, check whether the restaurant’s opening and the bus service suit your dates.
