In Vintířov, the Neo-Gothic Chapel of St. Anne was built in the centre in 1906, on the right bank of the Vintířovský potok and beside the main road. It was completely reconstructed in 2006. Its style, construction date and reconstruction offer different insights into its architectural form and development over time.

The half-timbered house at No. 25 is one of Vintířov’s sights. Half-timbering is a building method that uses a load-bearing timber frame; this makes the house architecturally distinct from the Neo-Gothic chapel. Another historic column on the road to Chodov has been restored. These examples represent different forms of built heritage: the chapel is in the centre, while the column stands beside the road towards Chodov.

Forest parks and sports

The forest park in Vintířov offers seating, exercise equipment for seniors, a workout wall and opportunities for inline skating. The exercise equipment is specifically designated for seniors, while the workout wall and inline skating refer to other, distinct activities.

Cycle route and event

Cycle Route 2012 runs from Vintířov through Chodov, Nová Role and Velký Rybník to Hroznětín and is 26 kilometres long. For planning, you have both the total distance and several named places along the route. Route conditions may change, so check them before setting off.

Spoil heap and educational trail

The Velká krušnohorská výsypka educational trail was established west of Vintířov, towards the spoil heap. The Velká krušnohorská výsypka is an artificial hill created by extensive lignite mining and the subsequent restoration of the landscape. Its formation can therefore be understood as a sequence of mining followed by later landscape restoration.

A description from 2022 characterised the educational trail as overgrown and not maintained. You should therefore check the current conditions before planning to walk it.
