Archaeological traces and a distinctive rock

Krvavica’s archaeological sites include Gradina, Lazine and Zakuće. The Manastirine site above the village yielded a stećak depicting three women and a man with a sword. The several named sites and the figurative motif offer different points of interest within the archaeological theme.

The tall rock Ključ kuk rises above Krvavica. Locally, it is considered a natural monument and a visual landmark of the settlement; it is also known as Babin zub. Alongside the archaeological place names, this distinctive rock is another point of reference in the landscape.

Protected rural architecture

Ruralna cjelina Krvavica is among the protected immovable cultural properties identified for the municipality of Baška Voda. Traditional buildings feature exposed stone walls, gabled roofs usually covered with stone slabs, one- or two-storey structures and vaulted doorways leading to konobas. These characteristics encompass the materials used as well as roof shape, building height and entrances.

The Lječilište in Krvavica offers a different perspective on the history of architecture. It was built in 1963–1964 to treat and rehabilitate children insured through the military. At the same time, it is considered a unique example of modern spa architecture and a canonical work of Croatian Modernism. Unlike traditional rural construction, the focus here is on a facility designed for medical purposes and modern architecture.

Marina Ramova and the salt pans

Marina Ramova has 255 berths: 60 on land and 195 at sea. Vessels up to 16 metres long have access to electricity and water connections. If the number of berths or the connections are important for your plans, confirm these details before booking.

Twelve basins belonging to Vjetro-Solana, where sea salt is produced, are located on the breakwater of Marina Ramova-Krvavica. If you would like to include the facility in your plans, ask locally about access.
