There is also a hike with a stated distance and walking time, as well as destinations in the municipality and nearby area. This gives you specific trail and landscape features to help you plan your stay.

Trails with different routes

The Scheffsnoth – Rafting Center – Gumping trail crosses the Saalach over the Scheffsnother Bridge. Between the Rafting Center and the heating plant, it follows a meadow path to Gumping. The bridge and meadow section provide two specific points of reference for the route. The Kreuzfeld – Moosbachsteg – Gumping trail takes a different crossing: after crossing the Moosbach, a quiet path leads to the district of Gumping. Both trails lead to Gumping, but differ in the river crossing described and the character of the path that follows.

There are also two different route contexts in the direction of Lofer. The walking and cycling path leads back to Lofer via Gumping and Kreuzfeld. The Gumping – Sankt Martin – Lofer route, by contrast, is a moderately difficult 10 km hike with a walking time of about 2 to 2.5 hours; distance and time may vary depending on conditions. The route to Lofer therefore has a specifically stated time frame, while the sequence of places is the defining feature of the walking and cycling path.

In Lamprecht Cave, safe paths, stairs and walkways in the visitor area lead about 600 m into the cave; along the way are several tunnels and a large hall, and a height difference of 70 m is also reached.
