Hua Hin Night Market is located on Decha Nuchid Road, also known as Soi Hua Hin 72. Food and desserts are sold there.

Markets and Architectural History

Chat Chai Market is about 80 years old. It sells fresh and dried seafood and offers breakfast dishes. Its seven connected semicircular roof sections recall its construction during the reign of King Rama VII. This market thus brings together culinary offerings and a clearly identifiable architectural feature.

Raruk Hua Hin preserves a two-storey wooden house that is about 100 years old and displays rare photographs of Hua Hin in the past. The house and the images draw attention to different records of the past: a building and views of the town as it once was.

Temples and Railway Heritage

Hua Hin Railway Station is a popular tourist destination in Hua Hin District and is distinguished by its Royal Waiting Pavilion. The station also preserves an old steam locomotive that was bought in England and used on railway lines before the Second World War. The pavilion and locomotive convey different aspects of railway heritage: distinctive architecture and former railway use.

Huay Mongkol Temple, also known as Wat Huai Khot, is home to the world’s largest statue of Luang Pho Thuat. The statue is 11.5 metres high and 9.9 metres wide across the lap. These two measurements give a sense of its dimensions. It is taller than it is wide.

The cultural sites each have a different focus: Raruk Hua Hin combines an old house with photographs of Hua Hin in the past, while the railway station brings together architecture and railway history. At Chat Chai Market, the roof design recalls the reign of Rama VII. Their themes therefore differ in their emphasis on photographic history, buildings and railway heritage.

Coastal Views and Activities

Hua Hin Beach is about five kilometres long. From Khao Hin Lek Fai, you can see Hua Hin, the Gulf of Thailand and the sunrise; the view extends in all four directions. The beach’s length and the panoramic view offer different impressions of the landscape: a stretch by the sea and a panorama in several directions.

Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle covers an area of 35 rai and is themed as a tropical jungle. At Takiab Bay, visitors can go horseback riding by the sea. This places a themed leisure attraction and a seaside activity side by side as different options for planning your trip.

Getting There and Finding Hotels

Hua Hin can be reached by train, bus or car. Consider which of these themes you would like to focus on during your stay.
