Bacoor brings together a mangrove landscape, traces of agricultural land use and places of historical significance. When planning your trip, it is worth distinguishing these highlights: nature and past land use sit alongside memorial sites and a topic of safety education explicitly aimed at children. This will help you understand what makes Bacoor interesting for your stay before you look for a hotel in Bacoor.

Mangroves and Past Land Use

In Dulong Pulo, Barangay Sinbanali, the mangrove forest at the Mangrove Plantation includes more than 100,000 mangrove seedlings. It is a habitat for crabs, shellfish and migratory birds. The site was formerly a 40-hectare sugar beet farm. The mangrove landscape and the former agricultural use thus represent two chapters in the history of the same place.

Historic Sites in Bacoor

Prinsang Ligas is a colonial-era gravity dam that irrigated the rice fields of Hacienda de San Nicolas. The hacienda belonged to the Recollect religious order. Prinsang Ligas still serves as a footbridge and as a crossing for commuters traveling to and from Bacoor.

Another battle between Filipinos and Americans took place at Zapote Battlefield on June 13, 1899. The site is also home to the Zapote River Walk and Bike Lane, a linear park with several murals. If you plan to visit the path, check the current route conditions in advance.

The Bacoor Heroes Tower was inaugurated on January 15, 2026, in Bacoor Freedom Park at Mabolo Plaza. Alongside the 1899 Battle of Zapote Battlefield, the inauguration provides a point of reference from a much later period in Bacoor’s history.

At Simbahan ng Bacoor, the rebuilt church was completed 28 years after the original church building was destroyed.
